This year’s SVA National Conference (#NatCon2018) theme is “Defining Our Future. What better way to define our future than to look back at 2017 – evaluate, critique, celebrate, and challenge our efforts?

Dr. Nicholas J. Osborne from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Justin Spearsfrom Simpson University, and Jamie Richards from Purdue University did just that. They participated in a two-part video series titled, “Student Veteran Programming – Lessons Learned“. The first video is available HERE.

In the videos, Terry Arndt, President of Veteran Transition Publishing, guides them through key events that defined their programs in 2017. In addition, perspectives from brand new programs, as well as established programs, are discussed – adding to the dynamic of this panel discussion.

All the interviewees will be attending the #NatCon2018 conference in San Antonio. In addition, Dr. Osborne and his colleague, Dr. Dustin D. Lange, will be hosting an conference session on January 6 (1:15-2:15) titled, Building Synergy & Possibilities: A Holistic Model of Support for Veterans.
